1.) How do orderings work in the VINYL DIGITAL web-shop?

After placing your desired product into the shopping cart, your order occurs in five steps. You accomplish the first step after placing a product into the shopping cart, selecting the command “CHECKOUT” or by clicking directly the shopping cart symbol (top right). In the first step (shopping cart) you’ve now the opportunity to change the order quantity of scattered products or to remove scattered products from the shopping cart. An overview will be indicated to you with your order and you order amount. If you’re already a registered customer, shipping charges will also appear. The second step offers you three different options: you can either place your order without any registration or sales account (OPTION A), you can subscribe yourself to our online shop as already registered customer (OPTION B) or you can open your private sales account and anew your registration (OPTION C). Up next, please indicate your address data under the billing address and if divergent also under your shipping address. Of course we cordially invite you to subscribe to our newsletter, so that you’ll be consistently informed about new publications and special promotions. Delivery charges will be listed again in STEP 3 (payment). The only choice you’ll have to do here is when you’ve got some preorders in your shopping cart. If that’s the case, you’ve got following choice: either you’ll receive the whole order when all products are available (complete delivery); or you’ll receive two part deliveries (approximately all available products and in a second part delivery the remaining products). In choosing the part delivery some additional costs will emerge, which will be displayed to you. If you have some VINYL+DIGTIAL articles in your shopping cart, you can choose subsequently the medium on which you want to have your digitalized alternative (mp3-CD, USB flash drive or download). STEP 4 displays the general survey of your order. Moreover we kindly ask you to read carefully through our standard business terms, since an order can only be placed if you agree with them. After verifying your dates you can now bindingly place your order. With the payment method “cash before delivery” you can now see the payment information in STEP 5 (finish), which you need for the transfer.

Payment methods like “PayPal or “Sofortüberweisung” will lead you directly after placing your order to the payment service provider page and you’ll be able to pay your order immediately. After paying you’ll be sent back to our webshop.
 

2.) I forgot a product in my order and would still like to add it subsequently?

Please apply with an indication of your order code and your customer ID to support@vinyl-digital.com. We’re surely glad to help you out. 

3.) Is it possible to cancel my order?

Please apply with an indication of your order code and your customer ID to support@vinyl-digital.com. We’ll attempt to comply with your wish, however it’s only possible when the order hasn’t been placed to be shipped.

4.) Can I look through my order afterwards?

Yes. As a registered customer you’re able through all your orderings in the user center, under the tab “order history”. As soon as your order was placed, it’ll be also notified herein. If you’re not subscribed in our web shop, you will have to take a look at your overview in your confirmation e-mail.

5.) When can I expect the delivery of my order?

If there are no preorders in your order and we’ve received your payment, we calculate in the rule a processing period of 24 hours. Shortly after we’ll hand off your order to the letter shop DHL, who will provide you within 1-2 days. It is also possible to deliver your order to a freight station.

6.) What are the FREE VINYL products?

You’ll receive complimentary vinyl records, depending on how much your order is. Every order value of 20 € equals 1 coins, which will be credited to your account and can be redeemed in the FREE VINYL section. Therefore, you can choose in between several products which will be at your disposal. Should your order be rather small and you would like to obtain a product complimentary and it’s obtainable e.g. for only 8 coins, you can collect your coins. If you’re not going to use your coins within your order, they’re going to be credited to your account and can be used whenever you want.

7.) What kind of payment methods exist and how do they work?

a) Cash before delivery (per transfer): We’ll ship your order as soon as your transaction has been received to our account. The account data and the payment information will be sent to you per e-mail, together with your order confirmation. Besides, they’re going to be shown to you at the end of your ordering process, in STEP 5.  Please remember that a transaction is dependent on your banks processing period and can last until three weekdays.

Important: Unpaid orders will be cancelled after 8 weeks. We will send a reminder via Email (to the address given in the order process).

b) Sofortüberweisung (sofortueberweisung.de): Owing to a Sofortüberweisung you can accomplish your transactions even faster. You don’t have to be registered for this payment method, but you have to have an activated internet banking account and have your credentials with you. c) PayPal: You have to subscribe yourself in PayPal and open your own PalPal account to be able to use this service. http://www.paypal.de. In using PayPal we’ll receive the amount invoiced in real time, like this you’ll obtain your order even faster. Hereby you have the opportunity to pay in using debit entries (debiting your bank account) or with your credit card. There will be no additional costs for you, we’re in charge of all fees. d) Cash on delivery: This payment method is only possible in Germany and in certain instances.

8.) Am I VAT-exempt when I order outside the EU?

Yes, you are. If your billing- and delivery address is outside the EU, you don’t have to pay the German sales tax. The corresponding amounts will be deducted automatically in our shop. But please take note that there will be a levy of fees and duties because of the deliveries into NON-EU-countries. For further information click the following links:

9.) What kind of provisions do count for the return of products?

Please contact approximately our support team (support@vinyl-digital.com). Together we can find the ideal solution for return and payback.

You’re able to revoke your contractual declaration within 14 days without specifying any reasons in text format (e.g. as a letter, fax, e-mail), or – if the issue is conveyed to you before deadline – revoke it by sending it back. The appropriate time-limit begins after receiving this instruction in text format, however not before the arrival of the good at the recipient, and also not before our fulfillment of our information obligations according to art.246 §2 combined with §1 sentence 1 and 2 EGBGB, as well as not before our fulfillment according to art.246 §3 EGBGB.

In order to maintain the revocation period the punctual dispatch of the revocation will do. The revocation has to be sent to:

 Revocation consequences:

In case of an effective revocation both of the received accomplishments have to be given back and as the circumstances require profited usages (e.g. interests) released. If you’re only able to give us back the accomplishment totally or partially in a poor condition back, you must necessarily give us compensation.

It doesn’t count after the transfer of items, if the degradation of the item is referable exclusively on its examination, like you would find it possible in stores.

You mustn’t compensate anything for the degradation on the designated use of the item. Goods which are capable of being shipped as a parcel have to be sent back at our own risk.

You have to bear the costs of return, when the delivered good corresponds to the ordered one, the price doesn’t surpass the amount of 40€ or if you haven’t rendered any reward or a contractually agreed part payment if the price of the good is higher at the time of withdrawal. Otherwise the remand is free of charge. Goods which aren’t capable of being shipped as a parcel will be fetched at your house

Refund of the costs must be paid within 30 days. The appropriate time-limit begins for you with the dispatch of the declaration of revocation or of the good, for us with their respect.
 

10.) Vinyl rating (grading of the vinyl record condition)

The evaluation of our vinyl record condition orientates itself to the Goldmine Grading Standard. Our grading is sated with stars. In addition we make use of half stars, due to the fact that a vinyl record may not obviously correspond to the Goldmine evaluation and is in between respectively, or that a 2LP is in different conditions due to the two different vinyl records.

If you’re not satisfied with our grading rate after purchasing a product, we ask you kindly to contact is immediately and make use of your right of withdrawal.


5 Stars: refer to ‘Mint (M)’. It deals with new goods or the vinyl record has never been played before and has absolutely no signs of usage.

4,5 Stars: refer to ‘Near Mint (NM/M-)’. The vinyl record and its cover have no obvious usage appearances. There could possibly be no more than light fingerprints or scattered hairlines.

4 Stars: refer to ‘Very Good Plus (VG+)’. The vinyl record and its cover may have some slight wear marks. Hereby it can occur that the vinyl record has got some inaudible, light and superficial scratches. There can also be light bendings on the vinyl record or an easy label stain. The cover might have some bent corners, little cut-out holes, slight scratches or some stains.

3 Stars: refer to ‘Very Good (VG)’. The vinyl record might show several light or a few deep scratches. Some stickers or letterings can be in existence on top of the label. We recommend to purchase only those kind of products if you’re willing to take the risk that disturbing noises can be heard in some places.

2 Stars: refer to ‘Good Plus/Good (G+/G)’. The vinyl record has got several and frequently deep scratches. As a result you might hear disturbing noises in some places (crackles, clicks, swooshes). The cover is provided with stickers, letterings or cello tape, which coat the cover obviously. Furthermore it can have little flaws. We recommend to take a close look to the covers picture before purchasing this product and to pay attention to the article description. If you wish a complete unrestricted enjoyment in hearing your vinyl record we advise you against purchasing a product with this rating.

1 Star: refers to ‘Fair/Poor (F/P)’. It’s not possible to play through these vinyl records. There is a variety of deep scratches. The cover is full of big or deep flaws or it has suffered an obvious water damage. We recommend to take a close look to the covers picture before purchasing this product and to pay attention to the article description. If you wish a complete unrestricted enjoyment in hearing your vinyl record we advise you against purchasing a product with this rating.

All information for the Vinyl + Digital Bundle

1.) What does VINYL DIGITAL offer you?

In using our ONLINESHOP, you’re able to buy vinyl records in the classical way. In addition, we offer you the possibility to obtain every vinyl record, including a digitalized version. This VINYL + DIGITAL service is realized in two different manners:

OPTION A: The label or the distribution has already fulfilled this service. Therefore, you can find an individual download-code or a CD in the record. Further information can be found in the product description.

OPTION B: We take care of the digitalization for you as our customer, after you’ve purchased the vinyl record. According to the German copyright law (§ 53/1) you are entitled to acquire a private copy, which will be produced from us free of charge.

The costs for the VINYL+DIGITAL BUNDLE emerge from the elimination of disturbing noises, the division of the digitalization in single tracks and the submission of meta data (ID3TAGS).

2.) What’s in it for you?

No matter which option you choose, due to VINYL+DIGITAL you will be able to enjoy your music to the greatest possible extent from the medium. The sound of vinyl could accompany you in future wherever you want, as for example while jogging with your MP3-player, in your car radio or your own digital DJ-system. (Serato, Final Scratch, Traktor etc.)

There will be no one else but you who will always have the opportunity to carry his own vinyl record player and each of his vinyl record with him.


3.) In which form will I receive the VINYL+DIGITAL BUNDLE?

If you choose OPTION A, it all depends on the label or the distribution.

Mostly you will get an individual download-code, or a CD in which you’ll find the exact content of your vinyl record. Full particulars can be found in the product description.

You’re free to choose in OPTION B in which way you want to receive your private digitalized copy. Either you’ll gain it as an unique download or you can also obtain your copy within your vinyl record delivery as an MP3-CD in Vinyl Look or in form of an USB flash drive.

If you decide yourself for the USB flash drive, costs of 3€ per delivery will be incurred, no matter if you only buy once or several times at VINYL+DIGITAL. Unfortunately we have to calculate this additional amount due to the high costs of supplies.

You can take your final decision at the end of your ordering process.

4.) What kind of sound quality can I expect from VINYL+DIGITAL?

Again, in OPTION A it all depends on the label or the distribution. A digitalized version of the actual vinyl record doesn’t has to be necessarily expected. Therefore, it can occur that an usual CD is attached.

In OPTION B, you’ll receive the actual copy of your vinyl record in a compact MP3 form with 256 kbps. Our focus in this juncture is to maintain the original sound of the vinyl record, instead of cutting it through sound transcription. Obviously it’s our aim that the sound of your copy corresponds as perfect as possible to the sound of your vinyl record. We’re in use of the newest technique of Ortofon and Technics, plus a professional recording software for digitalizing.
 

5.) Am I free to choose in-between both options?


Unfortunately, no. In case the desired vinyl record is already available in form of OPTION A, OPTION B doesn’t even exist. The product will be sold in the way we can purchase it from the label or the distribution.

6.) After purchasing a new product, will the vinyl record still be welded in foil though it’s digitalized by VINYL DIGITAL?

For the purpose of digitalizing your vinyl record, we’re forced to open the foil of the product in OPTION B. We’ll do our best to treat your vinyl record and cover with respect, so that you’ll exclusively receive new goods. The protection film on top of the cover will stay on the cover, we’re merely forced to open it and get the vinyl record out once to fulfill our service.

Furthermore it can occur in particular cases that we’re forced to open the lamination to sustain some product description.
 

7.) Are all vinyl records of the assortment available as VINYL+DIGITAL?

Basically yes. However, if we should notice any difference in the sound quality which doesn’t correspond to our standards, we will offer you the opportunity to cancel your booking or to receive the product as an usual vinyl record. Already paid amounts will be returned immediately.


8.) Which options have I got to return a product with the VINYL+ DIGITAL Bundle?


You’re empowered to return every vinyl record within 14 days, without stating a reason. Of course you’ll receive the already paid amount of money back to your customer account. The restitution of the VINYL+DIGITAL offer is restricted due to legal reasons. It only allows us to take back vinyl records in OPTION A that are still welded in foil, to return or replace products in OPTION B is only possible in particular cases and is basically impossible.


9.)  Why are the possibilities to return a product so limited?


We surely don’t want to input any criminal energy or a sense of guilt in our customers, however we’ve got an immense responsibility towards the labels and distributions who provide us. Not least towards the artists. That’s why it’s not possible to offer a restitution of a potential endlessly multiplication of an immaterial product. Neither for the connected VINYL+DIGITAL BUNDLE. Otherwise everyone could have the opportunity to multiply the digitalized version and to keep it, and to return the vinyl record. It wouldn’t be possible for us to check if a customer has gained copyrighted music. We apologize for any inconvenience and point out that in individual cases you can always contact our support team (e.g. for damages of a vinyl record or a MP3 file).

10.) When can I expect the receipt of VINYL+DIGITAL?

You can count with a period of 24-48 hours on weekdays for the digitalization of your vinyl record. We’re certainly always anxious to be clearly faster. If you want to achieve the digitalized version in form of an MP3-Disc or as an USB- flash drive, you will receive them together with your vinyl delivery. Consequently the usual delivery period is valid after the receipt of payment in addition to the 24-48 hours. If you decided yourself for OPTION DOWNLOAD, you will be able to access your digitalized version after the receipt of payment

within 24-48 hours. These information refer to OPTION B, in OPTION A delivery can always take place together with the already bought vinyl.

11.) What happens with my vinyl + digital bundle if there are other pre-order products in my order?


On desired receipt of a MP3-Disc or an USB flash drive you will receive the digitalized version together with you delivery. Generally, you have the following choice:

Either you’ll receive the entire delivery, when all of the articles are available; or you’ll receive two part deliveries (to begin with all the already available products and the second delivery consisting the remaining ones). If you have chosen OPTION DOWNLOAD you can already access independently from your desired delivery to your digitalized version. What matters is that you’re the legal owner of the vinyl due to your payment transaction. If this is the case, you’re allowed to access your digitalized version, even if you receive your order weeks later because of other pre-orders. These information refer to OPTION B, the delivery in OPTION A will take place together with the already bought vinyl.
