Amsterdam based hiphop duo Pete Philly & Perquisite released their debut album ‘Mindstate’ back in 2005. It contained collaboratons with vocalists Talib Kweli, CeeMajor and Senna as well as featurings by internationally known jazz musicians Jesse van Ruller and Benjamin Herman. Notion Magazine (UK) proclaimed their music to be “as much 21st century soul as Hip Hop genius” and Talib Kweli mentioned them to be “light-years ahead of the game”. After they parted ways in 2009, Pete Philly & Perquisite have returned this November with a grand reunion concert at AFAS Live, Amsterdam. A part from that, they announced their official third studio album to be released in the spring of 2024. So, with a new album on it’s way, it was about time to re-release their iconic debut album on vinyl, which had been unavailable for years, causing high bidding activity on marketplace sites and generating immense anticipation among fans.
