DJ Shay has been working with Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher and Conway for almost 15 years, but shortly before the final breakthrough of the Griselda Crew, he died in August 2020 of his Covid19 disease. His legacy, however, remains his raw NY sound combined with lofi elements and sensitive street soul. He also presents this on "Forensic Files (Griselda Instrumentals)", which was completed before his death, features some of his very best beats, he originally released on songs of his Griselda homies and is now released as the instrumental version with his consent as part of our "EXPEDITION 100" instrumental series.
