The phrase "Dust My Broom" comes from the blues. In a figurative sense, it means, among other things, "clearing the air" and the start of something new, a "new beginning". With this album, the duo opened a new chapter in the Boozoo Bajou sound. There are significantly more vocals on "Dust My Broom", including from Joe Dukie, the frontman of Fat Freddy's Drop, and US country legend Tony Joe White. Blaxploitation / Motown icon Willie Hutch and Americana singer Ben Weaver are also represented. With U-Brown, who once worked as MC for King Tubby, and the English jungle MC Top Cat, there is also a special reggae note among the singers. In the production of the album, Boozoo's famous slowness has given way to an interest in variable rhythms and tempos, while remaining consistently laid back. The musical range: wide. "Dust My Broom", a classic that is in no way inferior to its predecessor "Satta".
