An English rock band formed by South African musician Manfred Mann. Their hits include covers of Bruce Springsteen‘s “For You“, “Blinded by the Light” and “Spirit in the Night“. After forming in 1971 and with a short hiatus in the late 1980s/early 1990s, the Earth Band continues to perform and tour.

To mark the anniversary, they have selected 50 songs from it and compiled them on the most comprehensive best-of album of their career to date: "Mannthology" is the title of the box set, a creative neologism of the band name and the term "Anthology". "50 Years Of Manfred Mann's Earth Band 1971 - 2021" is the explanatory addendum.

It includes songs from the last 50 years, from their debut album "Manfred Mann's Earth Band" from 1972 to the present day. In addition to hits and classics such as "Living Without You", "Joybringer", the number one single "Blinded By The Light", "Davy's On The Road Again", "Don't Kill It Carol", "Runner" and many more, the "Mannthology" also includes some rarities. These include, for example, rare and unreleased recordings, live songs and promo singles.

This is a fitting celebration of 50 years of band history - this anthology trumps all previously released best-ofs. 66 tracks from the band are presented on 180g vinyl, featuring all the hits as well as sought-after rarities for die-hard fans.

The DVDs include a new 100-minute band documentary and a live recording (Baloise Session from October 31, 2017). The 100-page book (30 cm x 30 cm) contains countless band photos and a comprehensive biography, while the slipmat is printed with the band logo.
