Volbeat, formed in Copenhagen in 2001, have always played metallic rock'n'roll with a touch of 60's sound, rockabilly, and Elvis and Johnny Cash flair. This is also the case on "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood", which clearly shows one of the most important bands of the genre at their zenith. Producer Jacob Hansen managed, as on the previous albums, to capture the enormous live power of the four-piece in the studio. 12 solid hard Metal-Rock'n'Roll bangers with finest melodic hooklines plus a cover of the Hank Williams classic "I'm So Lonely I Could Cry". As an absolute icing on the cake there is a cover version of the Social Distortion song "Making Believe" as track number 14.
