Yovenek & Odeïsu – Collab LP

Yovenek, the french LoFi, Hip Hop, Jazz beatmaker is delivering a proficient year, after his first tape "Oshun" released this summer. Yovenek is coming back with this new collab album made  with his long-time friend Odeïsu. Those 2 sampler lovers addicted to MPC went through a year of work together! A year of crate digging & sampling ! A year of composing guitar and bass riffs, with the aim to deliver as organic sounding as possible. Initially, the purpose of this album was to come back to the hip hop and trip hop roots, at that time artists were working only with samplers and analog hardwares to work with. It allowed this album sounding rough and tough as it was the artistic vision of it. This LP is compiling crispy breaks, lofi textures and real instruments for a 16 tracks trip inspired by artist as Portishead, kid koala, DJ Premier or Large professor. 

Yovenek is a parisian beatmaker who wondered around the world and lived in several places in Africa & Europe seeking for hidden music knowledge. For the last 20 years he learnt playing different instruments as percussion drums, congas and guitar and ended being passionate by samplers, this 2nd release gives a clear picture of his inspiration and musical skillset developped during his different journeys.

Odeïsu has made beats on samplers for 15 years and has learnt fundamentals in the town of Exeter with crews like Jedi Mics, Lowercase,  Doozer, Mc Sirplus and other UK south-west artists.
