Behind this character, inspired by legends from around the world, also present in the Cuban santeria, is revealed Yaite Ramos Rodriguez, daughter of Jesus "Aguaje" Ramos, artistic director of the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club. Born in Cuba, among a thousand swinging drums, cradled by the boats of sound, rumba, in a family of musicians, the girl escapes quickly on her own road: classical flute, then hip hop .
In Paris, where she lands and emancipates, she sings in Rumbanana, the Great Orchestra of Splendid, officiates as a singer alongside Sergent Garcia and El Hijo of Cumbia ... And forges its musical language. In his creations, the spirits surround him, show him the way - the ancestors, the orishas. These supernatural powers, with powerful vibrations, accompany him on stage, in his rounds around the world. Until the edge of his 3rd disc, Bajo El Mismo Cielo ("Under the same sky"): a disc of connections.
Before releasing this record in the face of the world, Yaite illuminates the path she pursues: "With Marc Damblé, aka Babylotion, my producer, we continue to explore these universes that always intrigue us as much". Yaite, however, specifies its course, for this third opus: less flute, more hip hop. The White Lady explains: "I find there a freedom, which I do not meet in any other style. In hip hop, I feel free of any technique, free of imposed structures: you go to the end of your sentence, without asking yourself ten thousand questions; you go, with all your personality. Hip hop, I like this excess of speech, this excess of music, which fills and completes me ... "
