The album is named in honor of Eastwood’s close friend, Hollywood Briggs, who passed away.
Asun Eastwood, originally from Toronto, is described as “provocative”. He paints dramatic images over curly, hypnotic, bass-laden samples, allowing the listener a glimpse into his rough and luxurious lifestyle.
Asun’s story is like a critically acclaimed movie. After losing his brother, being shot, stabbed and left for dead, Asun faces his misfortune. Asun faces his misfortune through his music.
