The inimitable Róisín Murphy releases her highly anticipated new album, 'Hit Parade' which she produced in collaboration with electronic music virtuoso DJ Koze. The 13-track compendium of genre-bending gems will be released on Ninja Tune on September 8, 2023.

The warm sounds of hip-hop, the psychedelic elements and the elegant, soulful grooves are all part of Murphy and Koze's vision, resulting in an album that can be repeated endlessly as the melodies on it settle into your brain. The 13 tracks that contribute to the album's effortless sheen were assembled almost entirely from afar over the course of six years. Fans of both artists:inside will know that this inspired collaboration grew out of Murphy's contributions to Koze's 2018 'Knock Knock' - notably 'Illumination' and 'Scratch That' - and when Murphy worked with Koze on 'Hit Parade,' she found the collaborative creative process revealing in its own way.

From the moment she grew up in the Irish town of Arklow, music seemed to call to Murphy almost immediately, from the moment she discovered the power of her own voice at the age of 10 by performing the eternal showtune classic 'Don't Cry For Me, Argentina' at a local poetry festival. Murphy plunged headfirst into the music scene after her family moved to Manchester when she was a teenager. After a brief flirtation with noise and punk in Manchester's environs, she hitchhiked to Sheffield at 19 to immerse herself in the club scene. A chance meeting with local bassist Mark Brydon led the two to form the acclaimed group Moloko. Since then, Murphy has carved out an impressive solo career spanning five highly acclaimed albums (with a Mercury Music Prize nomination for 'Hairless Toys' in 2015), acclaimed EP and single collaborations, and more recently, video direction and acting awards.
