“BLESSED ARE THE WEIRD PEOPLE” is the brand new album by the spaniard Dj and producer DJ TONER. It counts with 12 songs filled with the Lo-Fi and Jazzhop aesthetic. This albumes features the participation of trumpetist Erik Truffaz (Blue Note, etc), the renowned spanish musician Jorge Pardo (Chick Corea flute and sax), and the mongolian singer based in spain Lian Faz.

“Blessed are the weird people” is inspired in the new urban and social conexions, where the idea of a new renaissance of contemporary jazz is exposed to the listeners.

DJTONER Q4RTET For this production, Toner has gathered a well gifted team of musicians with the precises skills this project needed. They are yet the voice of the Nu-Jazz isn Spain. This team is formed by: Marc Ayza (Drums), Chick Juarez (Piano) and Alfonso Alcalá (Bass) This album has been recorded entirely at the southside of Granada, where Toner lives. The whole production has been done by himself, as well as the composing and mixing of the whole project, with the preciated help of his band, and assistant arrangers as Jesús García. A long but delightful 2 years production process where Toner breaks with the typical beatmaker work, and instead redesigns every single line played by his musicians, expanding in that way the musical expression path that offers this sound experience.
