Chidi’s musical journey began when, as part of a national Gospel choir, she supported major artists such as Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Mary Mary. She has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder and Pixie Lott to name but a few and was also backing singer for Gloria Gaynor. She emerged on the UK Soul scene in 2009 with the underground soul hit ‘Wrong Again’ from her debut album 'Unrehearsed' followed by a highly successful recording career. Now Chidi’s teamed up with the internationally acclaimed producer/composer/arranger Tom Glide on the ‘Divas Got Soul’ LP.

The result of Chidi’s collaboration with Tom is the beautifully evocative ‘Old Skool Dayz’. Borrowing from the rich traditions of classic Soul music, Chidi delivers the carefully observed sights, sounds and emotions from her childhood days which she lovingly compresses into a distillation of that long hot summer which eternally lingers at the back of our minds.
