Shaun Escoffery – Evergreen

The return of one of the UK’s finest vocalists with an album that once again combines gospel-tinged power with soulful subtletly.  All four singles from Shaun’s 2014 album “In The Red Room” entered the UK Airplay Top 40 chart, and the first two singles from “Evergreen” – the powerful dance track “When The Love Is Gone” and ballad “Love Shine Down”– have continued that run.

From his first recording with D-Influence at the tender age of 17, Shaun Escoffery has been one of the UK’s finest vocal talents - a singer with a glorious Isleys/Curtis Mayfield falsetto.  Along the way he has enjoyed support from Elton John - who has hailed Shaun as one of his favourite new artists - and actor Idris Elba, one of his oldest friends.

All but one of the songs – a cover of Eurythmics’ “Here Comes The Rain Again”, which also features UK soul singer Andreya Triana – is co-written by Shaun with producer Gil Cang.  On title track “Evergreen” he is joined by Joss Stone.   Already making waves at radio in the UK is the Seventies-influenced social comment track “Ain’t No Time”, and latest single “Healing Me”.

On May 19 Shaun headlines London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire for the first time.
