Cars & Trains (Tom Filepp) is a Portland, Oregon based multi-instrumentalist who has been creatively fusing folk music with electronic sounds for ten years. His new album, Fictions, is due out on Fake Four Inc. on October 20th, 2017. The album was entirely recorded and mixed in his Portland home studio. In the words of Glide Magazine, Cars & Trains "connects dreamy beats and ethereal folk." 

Much like the busy Adam O'Day painting of midtown Manhattan that serves as its cover art, Fictions feels simultaneously zoomed in and distant. Described by Sputnikmusic as "an excellent songwriter if anything else," Tom enlists helping hands Kyleen King (Swansea) on violin and Jessie Dettwiler (Alameda, Lenore) on cello, with additional production and vocals provided by Matt Harmon and Kali Giaritta.
