Behind the latest Mute signing Quinquis is Émelie Tiersen, whose music has previously appeared as Tiny Feet. 'SEIM' is the debut album under her maiden name, which can be understood as a tribute to her family's history and adds symbolism to her new musical beginning. In collaboration with Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Yann Tiersen, Apparat), Tiersen lets her expressive vocals (in Breton) meet haunting electronics and complex melodies.
