”Let's try and meet up sometime”, ”See you later!”
Sometimes sincere, sometimes ironic, these words almost always stay hanging in the air. Rarely does anyone actually meet up in this busy world.
Inspired by Marko Nyberg getting back in touch with his friend after 15 years, Husky Rescue has titled their fourth album The Long Lost Friend.
Opening gently with Restless Feet and Under Friendly Fire, the album takes the listener through a joyous journey. Culminating in the gospel-like groove of the seven and a half minute version of the single Tree House, The Long Lost Friend features a collection some of the catchiest songs Husky Rescue have written.
Long time collaborator Kustaa Saksi, inspired by the theme of the album, departs from his usual style. The cover art features a timeless, melancholy illustration based on the work of Flemish painter Michiel Sweerts (1618 – 1664).
The album comes with an essay written by Nybergs ”Long Lost Friend”, a text for all who are in search for their Long Lost Friends.
